To me at least, it looks like BB's becoming more emotional (if that's even possible...?) and he's talking back to Roland. Seems like he's growing up, so evolution definitely seems like it's coming. I'm not sure how evolution's supposed to affect the Pokémon in your comic, but maybe the Pokémon becomes more mature as well? (no BB stay a baby forever TwT)
